Hi, I’m Allison Kickel.

I’ve spent the last 15 years in the CME/CE industry, focusing on identifying gaps in clinical practice and designing learning interventions that address clinicians’ needs and improve outcomes for patients through traditional and innovative CME/CE programming.

2016 was a bit of a watershed moment for me when I realized that knowledge and skills acquired through social media channels could be translated into certified educational programs that would appeal to a variety of CME/CE stakeholders. I’ve spent the past 5 years enthusiastically sharing the benefits and demonstrated outcomes of these programs that I’m so excited about.  (If you’ve tried to end a phone call with me on these topics in the past few years, sorry, really.)

A particular point of pride is my work on @MondayNightIBD, a Twitter-based clinician and patient community and education hub serving the IBD and GI communities. This CME-certified programming sets the standard for meaningful clinical conversations amongst the multidisciplinary team while providing support for, and garnering insights from, the IBD-patient and caregiver community.

I am the Founder and President of Bonum CE.

Who I am outside of work

Generally I’m wrangling my small herd of young children from my home base in Denver, CO. I enjoy being outdoors as much as humanly possible. Hiking, biking, swimming, running, you name it and I’m likely up for it. I’m nearly as passionate about my work as I am about travel; having a perpetual “anywhere but here” mentality since there is just SO much to explore. Some favorite places include the Garden Route (South Africa), the whole of Malawi, Zanzibar (Tanzania), the east coast of Taiwan, Krakow (Poland), Lake Como (Italy), Valparaiso (Chile), Semuc Champey (Guatemala). Yeah, I couldn’t pick a favorite if I tried. Keep exploring!
